Rolex Datejust 36mm - Ref. 16014

For sale is a beautiful 1985 Rolex Datejust Ref. 16014, crafted in stainless steel and finished with the classic 18k white gold fluted bezel. This example is accompanied by its original Rolex box and manuals.

The Dial
The standout feature of this watch is undoubtedly its silver sunburst dial. Most notably, the original lume plots have aged to a rich, warm creamy-golden colour, creating a striking contrast against the cool silver dial. The lume within the hands has developed a similarly warm patina, giving the dial a wonderfully cohesive vintage appearance.

Applied baton hour markers with dark detailing, the Rolex coronet at 12 o’clock and the date aperture at 3 o’clock complete the classic Datejust layout, with the Cyclops lens providing the unmistakable Rolex profile.

The Case
The classic 36mm Oyster case is crafted from stainless steel and paired with Rolex’s signature 18k white gold fluted bezel. The combination of the steel case, sharply defined fluting and warm vintage dial gives the watch an elegant yet distinctly period-correct appearance.

The Bracelet
The watch is fitted to the iconic stainless steel Jubilee bracelet, with its five-piece link construction perfectly complementing the refined proportions of the 36mm Datejust. It is finished with the traditional Rolex folding clasp.

The Movement
Powering the watch is the Rolex Calibre 3035 automatic movement, renowned for its reliability and featuring the convenient quickset date function.
