For sale is a vintage 1985 Rolex Datejust Ref. 16030, crafted entirely in stainless steel and featuring a beautifully textured champagne linen dial.

This example is offered complete with the original Rolex box, papers and manuals - originally retailed in Saudi Arabia.

The Dial
The standout feature of this Datejust is its champagne linen dial. The finely cross-hatched surface creates the distinctive woven appearance associated with Rolex’s vintage linen dials, giving the champagne finish considerably more texture and depth than a conventional sunburst dial.

Applied yellow gold baton hour markers and matching gold-tone hands provide a warm contrast against the champagne background, while the date aperture at 3 o’clock is magnified by Rolex’s signature Cyclops lens. The dial displays some light age-related character, entirely in keeping with a watch of this vintage.

The Case
The classic 36mm Oyster case is crafted from stainless steel and paired with the distinctive engine-turned stainless steel bezel characteristic of the Ref. 16030. Its alternating polished and textured facets give the watch a particularly attractive vintage appearance while remaining more understated than the traditional fluted bezel.

The Bracelet
The watch is fitted to its classic stainless steel Jubilee bracelet, whose five-piece link construction perfectly complements the proportions and elegant character of the Datejust. It is completed by the period-style folding Rolex clasp.
